• System is undergoing constant upgrade, call for current status

Shipboard Echosounding

• No charge for use
• 3.5 and 12 kHz transducer arrays
• Two PTR-105B transceivers for 12kHz
• ORE model 140 3.5 kHz transceiver
• Two Raytheon LSR 1807M line scan recorders
• Raytheon CESP-III correlation echo sounder processor
• Optional LSR-type Computer Display of data

Navigation Aids

• Permanent navigational aids in the ship's E-Lab include:
  • Trimble 100A LORAN-C navigator
  • Magnavox 1142 Satellite Navigator
  • Trimble 4000AX GPS Receiver
• These instruments are independent of the bridge navigation, and are dedicated for scientific use. Data is also available from a Northstar 9000 integrated GPS/LORAN system, with display in the Dry Lab.
• RS-232 data streams from all navigational devices are available from within the Dry Lab.

Laboratory Amenities

A variety of portable benches, cabinets and tables are available for installation in WECOMA's dry lab.

1.5 and 15 cu. ft. refrigerators are available for lab use.

Radioisotopes are prohibited in any WECOMA refrigerator.

Benches, tables, racks, bottle stands, etc. which are requested can be installed by the Marine Technicians.

An ice maker for scientific use is available on board.

Portable fume hoods are available for installation in the wet lab.

The wet lab is outfitted with a number of portable sink and cabinet units. These can be removed or reconfigured on short notice.

Shipboard Video Distribution System

A video distribution system is used to distribute video through the ship's TV cable system. Any cable ready TV can plug into convenient video connectors located throughout the ship to see the following "channels":

• Primary VCR (located in Ship's Library)
• Secondary VCR (also in Library)
• ADCP Computer Screen converted to video
• General Ship's Information (date, time, position, winds, met data, etc.)
• CTD Computer Screen converted to video
• Bathymetric Display Computer Screen converted to video
• Fantail Video Camera (shows Fantail and Hydro platform)
• Deep Sea Winch Video Camera (shows deep sea winch wire drum)

Plain Paper Copier

The copier is available for ship and scientific business
