Two fiber optic lines between HMSC Guin Library and the ShipOps building are used to provide Internet connections for shipops and RV WECOMA. The first fiber line is connected directly to an FOT/ThinNET Repeater that services the Ship Ops computer network. The second fiber line is run down the dock to a weather tight box located on the WECOMA dock. An FOT is located in this box, and a connection established between the FOT and the shipboard HP ThinNet Hub makes the network connection to the ship.
