Shipboard Hub
The shipboard network is built with a star topology, centered around an
HP 28692A ThinLAN Hub Plus. When in port, the hub is connected to
the Internet via the AUI port of the hub. The AUI port is connected to an
FOT, which is connected to the fiber-optic cable run from HMSC.
Here is a link to HP's WWW Site. Currently
(as of Oct 28, 1994) they have no on-line production information on the Hub.
Location
The shipboard hub and a spare hub are located in the forward rack of the E-LAB.
