Slogger Acquisition and Logging System

This page describes the Slogger data acquisition and logging system.
The name Slogger is created from the words "Shipboard Logger". Slogger
performs basic acquisition of serial, analog, and frequency data from
a myriad of devices, sampling data in one minute periods. This data is
averaged, and the mean, min, and max of each sampled item logged to
disk in netCDF format, and then broadcast
out a serial port in NMEA 0183 format.
