Contacting WECOMA

At Sea

The ship is equipped with several communications devices for communications between ship and shore. When close in shore off of US waters, a cellular phone system may be used, but when the ship is farther off shore, or out side of US coastal waters, then it is necessary to use the INMARSAT satellite communications system.

Notes:

1. At the second dial tone enter the extension number desired
2. No extension numbers are needed with the Inmarsat M numbers

Costs:

1. The cost for cellullar is approximately 32 cents per minute
2. The cost for Inmarsat M is approximately $4.60 per minute

In Port

While in port at Newport, the ship is connected to land phone and the Internet.
