WECOMA is equipped with 5 main lab areas...

- This is the ship's main lab, equipped with removable benches. There is direct
access from this lab to the Working Deck, Dry Lab, Electronics Lab, plus convenient
access to ship's library, galley, bridge, and stateroom areas.
110V power is convenient to all benches, along with ThinNET network drops for the ship's
network. Here are statistics and info on the the

- This is the ship's secondary lab, recently expanded during the ship's midlife refit.
It is equipped with removable benches with drawers and cabinets for convenient storage.
There is direct access from this lab to the Dry Lab and Hydro Platform/CTD area.
110V power is convenient to all benches, along with ThinNET network drops for the ship's
network.

- An 8'x10' dedicated, portable scientific storage van is available on request. This
van is suitable only for storage. It is normally located only on the port side, main
deck aft, under the 01 deck overhang.

- An 8'x10' laboratory van similar to and interchangeable with the above storage van.
This van is intended primarily for radioisotope use.

- The ship's electronics lab is new with the '94 mid-life refit. This lab provides a
"clean room" for ship's navigational, data acquisition, computing, and networking
equipment. It also serves as a work space for the ship's Marine and Electronics Technicians.
