Hydro A-frame (Hydraulic)

• Height: 13 feet
• Width: 8 feet
• Swings from 5' inboard to vertical to 7' over the starboard side
• Base attached to upper dck outboard of hydro winch
• Working load is 7,000 lbs

Stern Hydraulic A-Frame (New in 1994)

• Capacity 25,000 lbs
• Clearance height: 17 feet
• Clearance width: 11 feet
• Swings from 5' inboard to vertical to 10.5' outboard (5.5 over stern)
• Top Floodlights, cleats and air tugger mount on each leg
• Ladder rungs on both legs
• Top grab rail
• Crane boom notch on top
• Fixed Location, can be used with deep sea and trawl winches
• Removable to clean deck (requires 48 hours)

Air Tuggers

• Two units
• 1,100 lb SWL

Rosette/CTD Rail

Extends by means of a hydraulic ram a total distance of 6' from inside the wet lab through a 6' wide by 8' high double watertight door, to a point 3'6" outside of the door. The rail is fitted with a push-type trolley and a 1,000 lb capacity air hoist.

Hydro Platform (Available on request only)

Extends over the side at Main Deck, under and forward of the hydro A-frame. Dimensions are 36" x 38.5"

Capstan (portable)

• Bolts to deck on fantail.
• Rating: 5,000 lbs at 12 MBM
• Rating: 10,000 lbs at 6 MBM
• Five hour cool-down after 30 minutes full load
• Note: will be replaced with a NEW continuous duty capstan about mid-year 1994

Work Boats

• Zodiac "Hurricane" Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB)
• Model 530 with a 48 HP outboard motor and two person inline control
• LOA 18'4"
• Capacity 2,500 lbs or 9 persons

Bulwarks

Fantail bulwarks are bolted in place and sections can be removed for moving equipment over the side or stern.

Working Side

The Starboard side of the ship is the working side
